Help loading Camera SD card to PC please!

  Meg 250/E36 Touring
Morning all

Im not one for technology, so would anyone be able to explain how I load digital camera SD card content to my pc?

There is a slot in the front of the tower and the card slots half way in.

It doesn't 'auto-run' so to speak.

It's probably easy but if anyone can help it would be much appreciated!!

Cheers

Could be one of a few reasons! Could be that the card reader interface isn't conected inside your PC? You card reader could be disabled in BIOS, or by the Windows O/S itself?

Are you definitely putting the card into the correct slot and the right way around? Multiple slot card readers can take many cards in similar slots - make sure it's the right one.

Failing all of that, have you got the USB cable for the camera itself? If you connect that to your camera, switch it to PC-USB mode - it should then let you see the pictures folder on the SD card itself - usually acalled DCIM or similar.

^ Thanks Darren.

The reason was due to battery being flat. Thankfully the USB plug in charges the camera. Result :)
