Fitting De-cat

How easy is it to fit a de-cat to a 172? Anyone got any tips? How long does it roughly take?

hard and weeks

lol depends if you can get under the car properly if you have ramps fairly easy if not much harder need a decent socket set too with a long reach bar bit and shallow sockets

My mechanic pal will be doing it, most likely at the ford dealer he works at so will have easy access.

not bad to do but the cat>manifold bolts are a bit awkward.

in that case not that long unlike fred doing mine in the dark with a maglite and 2 trolly jacks and axel stands lol and hardly any tools

I got mine done yesterday,you need a long extension on the socket for underneath the car then you need to put your arm down the back of engine and hold the otherside of the bolt at manifold with a 13mm(i think)spanner.

This is the way the mechanics done mine,one was under the car when it was up on the ramp and the other was pearched on the engine,said it was burning his ass.LOL
