First run in the Jag....breakdown!

Had a car cleaning spree today and rolled the Jag out as it was a bit dusty. Cleaned all the inside, treated the leather, gave the outside a whip over and polished the glass inside and out, this made a big difference as the glass was covered in marks!

Goes in for service Wednesday morning so took it for a quick spin to see if there was anything else it needed, upto now only driven it to work and back ~ 8 miles in total.
Planned route was probably about 16ish in one go, knowing sometimes it kangaroo'd due to the fuel filter but you can drive around this; was on the home stretch of about 3 miles and she cut out on me! Fairly busy area, roof down in an attention seeking car....oops!

Left it for 10 minutes while thinking what to do and thought I'd give it a try, started on the button! Decided every yard it drove was a yard less to push a 2 ton car but it made it all the way faultlessly - the service can't come soon enough!

Got a few snaps on the first leg of the journey, such a lovely car to drive, literally wafts along with a nice hum from the front end.

Need to dig the Tonneau cover out at some point as it looks much tidier with it fitted, hoping to get some decent runs in it before the weather pulls in a bit.

  Corsa Van. Meh.
Absolutely mint!

My dad would cream his pants if I showed him this. He has had about 5 XJS's and is currently looking for another v12.

Thanks guys.

Found the original touch up stick set too, plus an original Jaguar and RAC grill badge still boxed from new!

Oooft dem pipes!

That's stunning, literally can't believe the condition it's in! Hat's off to you sir.

Do you have any pics before it was so immaculate or has it always been this well kept?

  A special one.
It was his late fathers car which he bought new.

Its only done just over 8k from new.
There is a thread on it.

So you're saying it's photoshopped?

Lol!

It is real, and so was the 8.6mpg it achieved yesterday on a steady drive. Good thing is it makes my M3 look like an economical daily driver so I can justify it that little bit more!

I bloody love a good jag. That is particularly awesome.

Got on the M6 in heavy traffic yesterday and was stuck between an E type on my left, and a bright blue XKR-S on my right. Crisis was had.

One of the most horrendous looking cars ever made. Looks in good nick though.
