Day On An Evo X

My mate came round today to give the Evo FQ360 a once over. I love this car, it's so fast it makes me smile every time Ive been out in it.

Anyway, I'm no detailer so this was just a snow foam, two bucket, dry, Polish and wax kind of day.

think my old 2.8i was as fast.

Normally I'd agree bit not in something like that. Point and shoot, even a monkey could pilot an evo at a reasonable pace.

I was a little disappointed in the pace of the FQ360 I had a play with, was the same blue colour as that other one posted.

A mate has a 400bhp 9 360 and it is brutal and will happily do 170mph all day long but it just does nothing for me. I appreciate its rapid, but thats where it ends for me.

Just spoke to my pal re this car. It's in at Mitsubishi as was running turd and they suspect it's the timing chain that's stretched.

35k miles with fdsh and he's looking at a £1000 plus bill.

don't let the dealer do it! There's usually a chain stretch warning that comes up on the dash, new kit is ~ £400, new one is thicker so they knew there was an issue

Normally if you're going to have a crash in an Evo, it will be a big one. This has nothing to do with being a monkey, more to do with the fact the car is far more capable than the person at the wheel.

The problem with Evo's is no-two are the same, you get good ones and you get bad ones. Although unless it was broken I'd fully expect an FQ360 to outpace a Megane Cup, as Leeds has already said though, depends who's at the wheel.

Mitsubishi have no interest in sporty cars anymore, developing a hybrid suv/crossover with the Evolution name apparently 😧

There were talks of the next evo to be a hybrid pushing out over 500bhp. Was b****cks then obviously.
They should.go the way Nissan did with the gt-r but go the skyline way as opposed to the gt-r. Shame they won't.
