clio williams oil dials

ive recently bought a clio prima with a 1.8 16v conversion and everything is all in working order except the middle dials which are the oil and water dials but they aint working i took them out and there wernt any wires connected any ideas on how or what i need to solve this

what engine size was the clio prima originally?
since it wasn't an original 1.8 the inside wiring loom was never changed to the 1.8 version?

When the engine was converted they put the ecu for that engine in to so would the wiring loom be fitted aswell or could they have used the 1.2 wiring loom?Thanks
