Clio 200 update.

Hi folks,

I've decided to give the 200 a slightly belated Christmas present. Well Two.

First up, I decided on a new set of fresh plates.

The dealer ones were starting to annoy me, they just didn't give the car that clean look. I thought i'd give a slightly smaller front plate a shot. I remembered that Harpham had ordered a smaller front one a while ago, so I just ordered the same size. 520mmx95mm IIRC. A standard one was ordered for the rear.

You can see the 2 plates next to each other as a size comparison.

A decent improvement in my opinion, for not a lot of cash.

Next up, I have been mincing over getting a set of HID's since i got the car, just over a year ago. It was the main reason in specced the projector headlights. I finally bit the bullet and ordered a set of 5000k 35w HID's. I did umm and ahh wether to go 5000k or 6000k. I went for 5000k in the end, as a guy at work has got a 6000k set in his ep3, and they are a little too blue for me.

Getting the bumper off was a bit of a ball ache, due to the Two bolts in the wheel arches, but I managed.

The kit was easy to install, and despite the freezing temperatures and being pitch black, the bumper went of a piece of cake.

Afters -

Still waiting to get a decent picture of them, but heres a little taster

I have thought about taking the sidelights out, but I'm still undecided on that yet.

Thanks for looking!

Awesome car. :D Got a lotta love for AG!!

FYI, I think that my front plate was slightly smaller than that and my rear was slightly smaller than standard iirc.

Superb mate. Clean plates are the first thing I always buy for my cars.

Funnily enough I fired a new set of Hids into my bus today, it has projectors.

The ones on it before were looking a little weathered. 6000k seems perfect imo. Enough to make the difference at night (my standard bulb/light combo is dangerous) and still white enough not too look like an utter c**t!

I've got smaller plates from my 182 waiting to go on my 200 when i get my private plate transfered. 520x90mm i think it is.

Where did you get the HID's from?

Hmmm! I've been pondering HIDs since I put the projectors in. Might have to buy myself a set next month.

Thanks chaps.

Yea, 5000k seemed the most oem looking to me, and I'm happy with them so far :D

Yes, hero, I had 5000k and the light was very oem, I had 6 to start with and imo the output was poor and it looked like some chav corsa
