Clio 1.2 16v New front end from a Clio Sport

Hi im new to Cliosport.net, just wanted to know ppl's opinions on my car. Had it back last week after waiting 4 months for it!.Crashed it in december and decided i would upgrade it to look like a cliosport. Got the 172 leather seats in it( had them since last april), looks alot nicer with them in!. Let me know what you think anyway.

Car isnt finished yet, got to have the sideskirts and rear 172 bumper put on hopefully gonna have that done on wednesday so i can take it to the french car show next sunday (28th).

Thanks guys.Can you tell me what you think of the wing to bumper colour match.Because ive taken the car back to the sprayshop cus im not happy as i think the wings and the bumper are a slightly different colour. Had the wings, bumper,bonnet and wing mirrors sprayed at a cost of £600

If you don't mind me asking, how much has it all cost you? Bumpers, wings, skirts, spraying and fitting?

Ok thanks for your views! very much appreciated. Altogether for all the clio sport parts (had to buy brand new wings couldnt source second hand) and spraying comes to £1070. Total spend so far is £2500. Had to have new airbags all round apart from the seat ones. Yea i want a cliosport grille waiting to find a cheap one on ebay or at a scrapyard.

Ive never seen a cliosport or a lookalike in this colour either so i thought i would be different!.Will take sum more pics tomorrow and post em on here. If any1 is going to FCS on sunday ill be there so if u wanna have a look there ud be more than welcome.

looking good, just dont stick any sport or 2.0 badges on it when it isnt.

id recommend picking up a cup splitter off the second hand section here, 60 quid, just screws onto the bootm and makes an unbelievable amount of difference for a little strip of plastic.

the 172 grilles are pretty hard to come by i believe!

color match looks ok in photos but photos usually hide ALOT of paint defects.

is that the greeny colour the extremes come in?


i used to have those wing mirrors, but cut the 'legs' off and smoothed them into the baseplates:

Yes mate its the Cyclone blue colour.Ill have a search round for tht front splitter. Im a bit of a tightwad so ill wait till i find one really cheap lol. Those wing mirrors look cool blended in altogether!. Mite try that when ive got a bit more money lol.

Hi i sourced all the parts from around the country from various breakers such as Renault specialists and Just renaults.Parts gateway is a really good website as long as you give enough detail about the part you require.Another cheap place is Hills Motor salvage (huge place breaking absolutely loads of cars all the time). However if you want clio sport parts please phone renault first!. They are not as dear as people say they are believe me i found out!. Total cost for front end,back bumper and sideskirts is £1070 inc Spraying.

did you not have to change the front wings to sports ones thought the sport frount bumper was wider then non rs btw welsome to cs

just purchased a 172 grille bout half an hour ago. For the sport wings all i did was ring up and say that i needed o/s + n/s Clio sport 172/182 wings. For a 2002 Clio. They might say that you need the parts numbers but they dotn some of them just cba to look for them on their Computer!.

Yes mate did have to have new wings as i bought standard ones but they arent flared like the sport ones.

Hi,
im wanting 2 put a full clio 182 bodykit on my 2002 1.2 16v.

Just wondered what sort of job it would be. Is it just a case of buying the front and rear bumpers and sideskirts and then spraying them or will i need new wings etc. will the rear bumper just be a straight swap or not. obviously i will need the twin exhaust system.

Anyone else done anythin similar?
