Changing front dampers 182 cup

Evening all,

Firstly sorry if this has been asked before but I am at my wits end with my car tonight.

Managed to get the old damper off very easily, but when trying to replace the new one I just can't get it to fit to put the bolts through.

I've tried jacking up the hub and spring compressors but no joy. Any one have any advise?

brute force and putting a screw driver to level it up, then putting one of the bolts in

You have to have both front wheels off the ground makes it a lot easier.

Thank you for the quick replies. Tbh I didn't think about putting both sides of the car in the air. Did you use spring compressors?

tbh i never had both wheels in the air and didn't do mine with spring compressors.

Both wheels in the air and no need for spring compressors.

Thank you all to who replied. Managed to get them off to find out my car isn't actually a cup like I was told when I brought it. So I now have some genuine Renault dampers for a cup for sale... Fumming!
