Very sorry if this has been done to death as I have seen from searches that there was an apparent recall on Mk2's due to bonnet issues.
After jump starting a car the bonnet wont close. I've sprayed ACF-50 all over any moving parts as they looked a bit tired which immediately solved the latch which wasn't returning. That now catches but the bonnet won't close all the way?
Looking at the mechanism I have no idea how it works so can't see where the issue is, perhaps something is stuck in the open position? She needs to drive to work tomorrow so no time to take it to garage so was wondering if there is a manual fix or something obvious.
