ASH silicon hose advice?

I am looking to replace the plastic hose to my airbox with the cheap silicon hose in the link below.

Has anybody drilled a hole in the bottom of the silicon and put the oil feed back in rather than buying a oil breather?
Not sure if this can be done or not.

For 400% of the price LOL?!?!

Drilling into silicone isn't the cleanest due to the cord ply in the centre, then you have the problem of making a clean, robust & air-tight seal. If you're trying to do it cheaply but correctly just buy an oil breather filter. They're probably like £5.
