480bhp's Clio Trophy

Hi everyone,

1st time i've been on here for nearly a year :quiet:
Tried asking on the clio trophy forum, but no one knew anything, so does anyone on here know what happened to my old Trophy, did the project get completed?

As for what i've been up to for the last year, well as some of you know i bought that impreza sti, i ended up running that at approx 330bhp, but to be fair it didn't feel that quick, don't get me wrong it was quicker on than the Trophy, but didn't inspire the same confidence round the twisties.
Then i sold that and built another kitcar, this time it was only powered by a 110bhp mazda engine, still in the 15 laps of Cadwell i did earlier in the year, i'd got the lap time down to 1:47 with probably a further 2-4 seconds to come off that. As those that were there know, the car bent a few wishbones and ended my day early, could have been worse, as the wishbones bent under the loads they were subject too and subsequently sent me off at the bottom of the mountain, managed to get away with no contact though
Well that's now made way for a more sensible road car, and one i may keep for a while, It's not a trackcar this time though, i've bought this one with the idea of a few road trips :)
It's been remapped so it's fairly nippy now ;)

Anyway enough of that, and back to the reason i'm here, what happened to my old car, i'd be interested to see it's progress or it finished if it got that far?

Love these, not my colour choice though. What map is on it? APR?

And what happened to the front bumper? Aftermarket?

Boo!

I can't have been the only one who opened this thread hoping to see some mad Clio Trophy running 480 horses?

Hi Tony, how have you and Mr Burp got on with your 1st year racing the clio? :)

As for the RS6, awesome car speed wise, you don't have to press too hard on the loud pedal to be doing the wrong side of twice the speed limit, although running 510bhp and 550ftlb's helps a little
It was mapped by Unit 20 RS specialist in Cheshire, both the engine and transmission were done at the same time, it's the only way if you want it too last, and even then it's not guaranteed, The gearbox is the weak link and is what stops most people upping the power output more, there's the option of fitting of a manual box (the Rs6 Only come in Auto) but with very few people having done this, it's not a cheap or easy option.

Beast. please find the shell, buy it back, and carry on with what you were doing with it last year. I was really looking forward to seeing another 182 track car.

Looks awesome! Bet it's amazing to drive.
I designed the logo/signage and business cards for Unit 20 (Audi and VW specialists)

Hope Martin did a good job ;)
