Hello....
I bought a 197 (March 2007) in November last year, recently It has developed a crunch in 3rd gear, usually above 5000rpm both when changing up and down, at lower speeds it seems to be fine. I have spoken to Renault today and are unable to help with the costs even though it seems to be a common problem (am I right?). Which i suppose is fair enough with it being an 8 year old car and having covered 78,000 miles.
So anyway has anyone had a similar problem and gotten to the bottom of it, I believe I have read somewhere that they are prone to premature syncro wear? I believe that there was also an uprated box fitted to cars in 2008?
If anyone is able to shed some light on this, regarding cost etc etc that would be a great.
