’97 Clio RN 1.4 requires alloys!!

My girlfriend has just bought a tidy little R reg Clio, good nick, 36k, and she wants some alloys!

She not looking for anything too posh so standard alloys will more than suffice. Whats the options, what should I look for?

Any clues on fitment?

Would alloys from the new clios fit or do I need to look at a set from a similar age i.e. Mk1?

any advice greatly appreciated.

You need spacers to get the ones from new clios to fit properly.

hmmmm are spacers a big problem? do they bring in any problems? cheers alias, down in north london/ hertfordshire area so will wait and see if we pick up any more locally.
Think we would prefer standard alloys from a similar age, anyone any ideas what i should be looking for?

Ive got a set of Mk1 172 wheels on my 94 Rt. Needs a 3mm spacer as the fronts rub badly on full lock.

cheers dave, so with the spacers it all be ok?
silly question probably but are spacers expensive?
Think she prob look for some 15" dynamique wheels, thats not too big and hopefully wont cause too many probs
also hopefully wont look too much like a roller skate without her lowering it!!
