Hi All im new to this but was a member some years ago when I had a Clio 1.8 16v. went to a few meets and all that. anyway noticed a thread 2009 asking where the Clio cosworth had gone. well we are now official dealers for Dimma and have been restoring some of the Clio Dimma's and have been offered the chance to restore this beast of all Clio's back to its former glory back as it was in 1994(maxpower march edition). the car as been ripped to bits and doesn't look nothing like it did back then, its been changed to silver and made to look like a maxi. all the inside as been ripped out and is a total mess. we are restoring a Williams at the moment you can see all the images at www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Dimma-uk-Body-styling/113127085364772 I would put pics on here but not sure how to do it. we should also be getting the Peugeot 205 cosworth in shortly reg No' H20 COS mostly famous for maxpower 1993 if any of you remember it. we can supply all the Dimma modifications and also fit. we are also taking on full restorations for any car. check out our website at www.Dimmashop.com and don't forget to ad us on www.facebook.com . best regards

When i was 13/14 i used to regularly spunk my pants dreaming about a Dimma 16v one day!

Not so sure on them now at 25 though. lol

Saw a normal Dimma Clio last year and it made my smile, thinking of all those old Max Powers i used to read. The Cosworth must be quite a beast, would be great to see it restored.

I remember both these cars. Still got the magazines.

In the 90's early 2000's, folk seemed a lot more ambitious when it came to modding cars. Instead of coming on forums, asking questions and getting folk saying ''its not worth it'' like today, they just got their heads down and their spanners out and got on with it.

Here they are guys, and Andyman yes your right about people messing about and not building cars like this anymore. but there is some out there that pay good money to get these back to how these use to look if not better. its the older guys that's wanting these now not the young kids. these are becoming classics now. the younger ones just keep smashing them up. all the ones we are restoring will be featured back in the magazines so will keep you all posted on that.

As I'm in my 40s I remember the clio and 205 dimmas well. That still has road presence :approve:.

Is the kit bolted onto standard wings or a replacement of?

I just never 'got' the whole Dimma thing - and that's coming from someone who thinks an Evo VI is an icon of automotive beauty!

I used to see the Dimma-based pictures and think - it would be so much nicer with that kit off. That said, I understand the appeal in making a car look more unique. It just isn't to everyone's taste.

Good on you if you're making a decent wedge from it too.

When I was a student working p/t in my local Safeway (Giffnock south side Glasgow) a guy I worked with Mathew got a Dimma Clio 16V in blue for his 17th birthday. I was 20 with an 8 y/o R5 GTT & remember being a little envious until end of shift & home time as the 5 was so much faster than the Dimma Clio.

His car featured in 2 car Dimma Clio feature in a winter edition of Max Power with both cars photographed near Edinburgh maybe? Was about 1997/98 period.

Marv-c the wings on the front are bolted on and molded into the bottom skirt. Darren S . its just a wide arch thing, you ever like them or u don't. we are also building a 206 wrc cosworth wide arch so that should be fun

Jesus christ I remember loving all the Dimma stuff when I was about 14 - I have pics all over my PC of cars I saved in my "Wish Folder" when I was coming up to the age of driving!

I'll try and dig some out!!

Fair play for restoring them back to former glory, although I do not think they're going to look current in anyway and people admiring them will be a very small proportion, I think they have a few more years until they're classed as classics!

Clio V6 is rather similar in all fairness

Personally, love them pal. And good to see some people are having them restored and looking after them. One day they will be worth a fair whack i reckon.

like most teenage car fans i used to love the dimma cossie clio! wasnt it 330bhp and 4x4!? was my favourite car ever in max power i think .. i was about 16 at time mind and i wanted a yellow escort cosworth then with black tiger stripes :nono:

And the 205 was special too was that in a metallic red?
