£450 laptop

What should I buy?

Want dedicated graphics card.

I have this one and it is brilliant, pretty good graphics card.

It is quite heavy though, 3.5kg so if your looking to move it around a lot then maybe not, but if it's more of a desktop replacement then it's fine.

Im in the same situation, need to make a decision by the weekend, having had a good browse theres two options i think...

This one almost looks too good to be true, but reading the reviews it sounds pretty good. even if its not the best looking.

Graphics card and screen size not as good as the Acer plus it doesn't have Blu Ray

Don't like Acers, but I must admit the spec looks good.

Acers are 10x better than they used to be, I've personally had 2 and niether of them have missed a beat and they are pretty durable too!

Acer warrenty repair service sucks ***s!!

I had to take them to court over there crappy repair centre.
Laptop repaired by a match stick holding internal components in anyone?

Also half the screws for the laptop missing....

(Not a one off.... google Acer Repair Centre, many unhappy customers)

All I do is browse the web, my 700mhz and 512mb of ram did that fine, but it's finally died lol, so i'm after quality more than anything.

Every Acer i've used feel cheap crap TBH

Hp's are good, my friend has the second HP i put up the pcworld one, dv5-1213, really quick, he has all his itunes, pictures, movies etc and requires almost no load time, interent is quick as well is the few games he has... think itl get my vote.
