Hi guys I have my 197 calipers being rebuilt at the mo and the guy rebuilding them can machine them down to fit on my car with 280mm discs, but I need to know what needs machining and what measurements so I can let him know, I've had a search and couldn't find my answers, any help would be...

Hi all Does anyone think Clio 197's ( good examples only with FSH, etc ) have anymore to go down in value? At the moment it looks like £5k+ for something under 55,000 miles with FSH, have they bottomed out?

Evening all, As above, i'm looking at buying another clio. Prices for a reasonable 182 are around 2500, or do i spend an extra grand and buy a 197? I drove one years ago when they first came on the market and wasn't particularly blown away (had a ph1 at the time)... does anyone think its worth...

08 reg, think it was a 197 Cup at Kingston roundabout yesterday afternoon around 4 pm.

I've seen one locally, and wondered if any body has anything I should look at, when going to view, I've seen the car about owned by an older chap.. but was always filthy... So any do or donts??

Got a set that have just been blasted. Now I'm not sure how to go the right way about it. Should I get the calipers rebuilt first with all new seals and then powder coated or vice versa. I heard that when powder coated they are baked so will damage all the seals inside, yet I know some places...

Looking to change a 197s rear discs and pads and there doesn't seem to be any specific info on this. Is it similar/the same as the 182 with a bearing and ABS ring attached to the disc and a 30mm hub nut to 175nm? Is there also a shim like on the 182 which needs replacing? I've contacted G172...

Not going to lie, an absolute mechanic novice - how difficult a job is this? Headlight bulb change time. I've done passenger side by removing air intake etc but there isn't enough room to put the rubber seal back on so looks like the light unit has to come out! :(

As per the title - spotted an Albi 197 in Brighouse today at dinner time. Looked lowered and spaced. Looked ace. Such a nice colour. So underated IMO. Anyone on here?
