its not a daily driver, i have another car for that but i dont want it completely stripped out as want some degree of comfort when driving too and from the track
some great advice, thanks
it has loads of history and has been recently serviced but its done 112k so would assume the suspension is past its best
is it worth me considering cup springs and shocks? can i fit cup wishbones? is anything else different?
or should i go straight to coilovers, i see...
i used to own a 197 cup as my daily driver and absolutely loved it, sold that a few months ago and have decided to get another renaultsport clio which i am collecting later today.
its a 52 plate 172 phase 2
would really appreciate any advice on getting it track ready, i don't want to strip it...
So not much peak gain but more torque in the middle I'm guessing so drives better? Yeah the cold start map is terrible, thought my car was broken first time it did it

just bought these for my clio 197 cup
Renault 7711425549 - INTERIOR MATS
but the drivers mat doesnt really look right and i cant see how the fixings work, do i need a fixing kit or something as well? anyone got a pic of there mats fitted?
i dont want big power and i dont want to do what some people seem to have done which is spend thousands on cams, induction, decat, remap for very little gains however i have the skills to remap the car myself so am thinking i might try a few relatively inexpensive options for a reasonable...
im not surprised by this comment, i have been looking into tuning the 197 and it seems nobody really has a clue what works and what doesn't, is that statement actually based on fact or are you just guessing??
i hear the 197 cup has a crappy stereo as standard so whats my options for upgrading? i was a better head unit (are adaptors available??) under seat sub and component fronts
