Have just installed some standard 182 seats and am having a little trouble with them. They slide fine and lock back in position until you flip them forwards to hop into the back, at this point they will no longer lock back into position on the runners. I have taken off the plastic side panel and...
I don't think the issue is the spring though, I have tried driving the car without the spring or reverse sleeve on and it still rattles. I have now fitted springs tensioning the shifter and the rattle is minimal, (especially in 5th, which is all I care about)
M.C. This won't solve all of the problems as this is what I thought it was at first but after doing a little trial and error found that the rattle is still very much present without the lift up reverse sleeve fitted.
Yeh, transforms the gearshift and make the driving experience far more special. Makes you feel like a touring car driver whenever you pull another gear.
Just took the panel off and found this [/IMG]
Why is it not adjustable there is a sliding bit in the panel so looks like it should slide. Hmmmm
The car is a 182 btw
I have just fitted some bucket seats and am finding the upper seatbelt mount is sat very high. The mount looks like it is adjustable but I cant seem to move it, is there a trick to this or is it just fixed?
I have a scopion exhaust system (the single backbox noneRS192 system) with scorpion sportscat fitted. I am trying to fit a decat but have the issue of the previous owner having the cat welded to the centre system (and not particularly nicely).
In terms of fitting a decat to this what would...
I have had the whole sleeve and knob off, it is not that it still happens. I believe it is the bearing/olive about where the gear stick pivots that is rattling
It is rpm related on mine. So if you are just driving nicely and short shifting then it's ok but when you run a gear right out it gets rather noisey. The thing that annoys me is that it is quite intrusive and when you are pushing on you want to hear the engine, exhaust and road noise rather than...
Don't get me wrong I understand people's view on this with it being a motorsport mod it's just mine is fitted to my track car which just happens to be my road car, daily driver and long distance cruiser. But then I am happy with the trade off tbh
Yeh but it isn't anything rattling it is just the vibration being transmitted directly from the gearbox, so I can't see O rings working. I mean the m8 bolt under the car.
Car creeper, I want one of these just for how pervy it sounds. Iv heard you can't use them within 200meters of a school or between the hours of 8 and 5 haha
Fair enough. I'm struggling to get a decent block of wood under the sill with my jack as I already have to drive the car onto some old brake discs to be able to get the Jack under it. Can somebody recommend a decent jack. Want one that has a low saddle so it can fit all the way under to get to...
Is it ok to jack up my clio using a trolley jack underneath the wishbone (where the 2 bolts are near the hub). I know it isn't ideal but I don't want to use the sill any more and am finding it hard to get the car up on stands (under the subframe) without having a second jacking point.
