Well after putting nearly 1500 miles on the car in my first month the engine has really started to kick in. MPG is averaging around 50mpg even when im driving it in a spirited manor and the overtaking capabilities are immense! Got very ocd with it as well, giving it a wash at least 2 or 3 times...

Yeah I was happy with it and they were very happy to pay it. Sold the car within 10 mins of posting online so that was a bonus haha

Cheers! And its great, my first day I found myself speeding quite a lot but im used to it now it gathers pace without you noticing at all its really bizarre. 80mph in my Clio felt like 200, 80mph in the Leon feels like 20 haha

Outside my Mrs work the Horse & Jockey pub in birstall saw a very nice looking 172/182 in black, looked in great nick and from what I could see at a glance (pitch black) it seemed to have a custom exhaust, anyone here?

As slow as they are in general terms, they are "quick" for a 1.2 lol Then again I drove my mates Seat Leon TDI the other day and that seemed like a Ferrari compared to my Clio, can't wait for insurance to come down so I can get a 172!

That would be a real help mate, im a complete novice when it comes to cars and had my dads mate (owns a garage in wortley) get my first car for me so i wouldnt know what to look for under the bonnet etc

Cheers buddy, yeah your right id have next to nothing to throw at it apart from the usual running costs and odd fix up, id be better off getting a 172 tbh due to insurance (looking at ~£1500 for the year on a 172 and not checked on a 182 but it will deffo be more), the joys of being a 19 year...

I currently have a silver 51 plate 1.2 Dynamique and i love it to bits, had it a year now and its been great for me but now I want to get something with a bit more "Va va voom". I'd love to get a 172/182 but I have no idea what i should be looking out for and what sort of price range I should be...

i was over the moon and still am lol! they kept it hidden in the garage and handed me the keys in a little sweet box haha yeah it has lovely alloys and sunroof, electric windows etc its great!

yeah I suppose you're right, although it seems a lot lot faster and more responsive than the 1.4 punto I learnt to drive in

Got a lovely little silver clio today for christmas today and i love it to bits its my first car! According to the garage we got it from its a 2001 1.2 Dynamique but every insurance company said it was a sport. Just took it for a spin and it seems really nippy for a 1.2 it flies off the mark...
