I was driving to work today and got to the end of the road and noticed the temp gauge was climbing above half way, I pulled over for a bit and let it settle and then crawled into work with the temp gauge threatening to climb again. I checked if the fan was spinning on the radiator and it was...
Anyone know how the Eiback pro spings are rated, if I drop the back of my car by more than 30-40mm my exhaust silencer will scrape on the speedbumps I have to go over to get to the gf's house.
That's the exact opposite of what I am after, If stiffer springs and fresh oem shocks will give me better cornering then i dont really care about it being lower, I personally love the angled look that the 172 has on standard.
Hope you get a reply, This is something I have been looking at myself. I have heard good things about the V-maxx coilovers on the K-tec website, but im not sure how much better they would be than a fresh set of shocks and eiback springs which come to about the same price.
my 172 has developed a blow in the exhaust so getting a new one, was wondering if there is any preference for decent sound/any performance increase at all? and also if anyone has any information on the skorpion cat-back (google/makers website if being less than helpful)
any information/opinions...
I've just recently had the rear bearings changed and the wheels have a little bit of play in them, do they need a washer placing on the half shaft or sprigot rings? Its a 172 cup
ANy help would be greatly appreciated because it feels like its about to tip on every corner.
Cheers

Hi guys, just got a 172 cup and the rear bearings need replacing, as well as the rear disks some time soon.
Can you get them as a full unit or do i need to get individual bearings and new disks.
Any help would be appreciated.
cheers

for what it is the 1.2 16v is a nippy little car and is nice and low on insurance, I've had one for about 2 years now and apart from things that needed doing when i got it, i've had no problems with it.
That is with elephant, but I have added my parents on, keeping myself as the main driver and owner of the car though.
Might be worth looking into adding some older drivers on?
Similar position, main driver 2 years no claims, 19 years old, £950 annual for a 172 cup
Try money supermarket they have always gotten me about £200-£300 lower than other comparisons
the black on black look works, although im prefering the Anthracite colour for wheels, also anyone know any specifics about the splitter from jake007g's pictures?
Hi guys been reading posts on here for a while when i've found help for any problems i've had with my car so thought i'd become a member and start posting. I only have a 1.2 at the moment but I have high aspirations for it, and the next car ;)
