No that's true. We ended up with 4 Renault test engines years ago k5m it was obviously the k4m with IDE and Renault must of scrapped the idea, they used the same pressure regulator as the 2.0 IDE. Ill get some pictures of them they look really strange. I put them in a separate thread.

Most of the time its not the seal that fails, over time the roof and the sunroof flex and this allows water to pass the frame and the skin, just put some sealant on the edge of the frame, even the gum gum tape from a door membrane works, refit the sunroof and you will of probably sorted it.

Nice looking little 172, ballasts and ignitors are common pal to be honest.

watching this thread, thinking doing it to my Megane Coupe 2.0 as the from discs and callipers are the same as the 172 so this should work for me and where I work it should be a very cheap upgrade when my front discs and pads need changing.
