Ran AD08's on my track Clio last year and changed to RSR's this year only done a wet Brands on them so far and have to say I was mighty impressed, think they where slightly better than the AD08's around a wet brands, hoping Combe will be dry in a few weeks to really test them.
I've got the iPad smart case for my iPad air as there was very little choice case wise when I got mine, at £60 (ish)-I had a bit of discount- it's a bit on the expensive side but I like it very much fits well and keeps the iPad feeling slim and light while offering good protection.
There seems...
Philmots & dannyb I run out of sainsburys Basingstoke with mostly volvo's and a couple of mercs. The mercs are poo rubbish auto box and non-existent brakes :S
Cheers, there where a couple of quick evos there but the little Clio held its own against most things, think the only P1 I noticed was the one I passed coming out of shell oils corner but having done over 200 miles on the day it's hard to remember all the cars we passed :D
Did the MLR trackday at Oulton Park and it was a great day no rain all day (result) was a little damp in places in the morning but a lot better in the afternoon.
Apologies to the lads with the 2 blue Clios in the garage next to us my poor memory means I've totally forgetten your names but below...
If you have oval Strut holes then you should get the camber without the bolts which I think I read somewhere don't work with the oval holes I could be totally wrong but I'm sure someone will shed some light on it
1- answered on MLR (guessing/hoping your the same person of I'll be looking like a nob ;)) don't know if I helped or confused :S
2-not used it but plenty have used the RSTuner map
3-for me personally standard rear discs and pads work well with the XP8's up front
That was my thinking too :approve:
I've had problems in the past with some types of pads leaving deposits on the discs it's happened with cheap pads and also some "uprated" after market ones once I thought the car was going to fall apart the vibration was that bad changed pads problem sorted.
Mine has uprated springs ( can't remember which the memory has gone blank) and is purely a track toy so i can't comment on what its like to drive on the road but the difference after fitting the whiteline arb was very impressive, it dialled out a lot of the understeer and was so much more...
noticed that while having a look did take a while for me to notice though:S
No cruse control
cheers, been looking at the momo and omp ones nice to know the momo ones fit fine.
I have a Sabelt Renaultsport steering wheel on its way to me and I'm looking for a boss to go with it, which one do people use/recommend. The cars a 172 with airbag, thanks
Phone Ian direct at carbotech http://www.carbotech-europe.com/ I run xp8 compound up front which is perfect for smaller cars. I use them on the Clio because I also run them on the Evo X and if you check out the MLR forum the comments speak for themselves.
Dont worry if your car is not listed on...
^^^^ Yep bin them pads. For track use I only use carbotech pads no matter how much abuse they get they don't fade, they are expensive but they give me total confidence every time I hit the brakes even after 25-30 mins on track. If I was you I'd also be tempted with braided brake lines also.
Totally agree putting the whiteLine on my track Clio best money I've spent on the car so far could not believe the difference it made, here's where I got mine from...
For me I want total confidence on a track that when I hit the brake pedal the car will stop, for the clio's first track day it got fresh fluid, braided lines and carbotech pads up front with brembo hc discs and I think mintex pads on the rear. Worked all day long no fade.
Been on here for a bit and am finally getting round to saying hi.
I have brought a very tidy 172 in Monaco blue which is being turned it to my track toy which I'm doing as a project (keeps me from getting under the misses feet :) )
The car had its first outing a few weeks back at the MLR...
