Yeah? I go bouldering there normally once a week, but bailed last night.
Where do you get your wheels painted? Or is that another set you have?
Mine's filthy, it's been a while since I've given it a wash. Hoping to fix that this weekend!
I was just having a looksie really. I tried holding the column by the splined shaft above the black boot, and turning the steering wheel, and there's no slack, which is why I thought it might be the lower joint.
Will get round to the checking the suspension when it's a bit drier!
Yeah, the lower universal joint that mates to the rack. It's hidden by the rubber bell-shaped boot in the footwell right? I've read a lot of people weld them because the joint degrades, I'm just trying to get a look in but can't get past the boot!
I'm trying to get this boot off to have a look at the universal joint at the moment on my 182, but it's bloody tough. I've got the flap which sits on the bulkhead up, but then the actual boot which houses the joint refuses to budge.
I've done a search on threads where the joint's been welded...
Ah right. I was pretty far from home, I'm up in Coventry but was visiting my family for the weekend.
It will probably be unlikely I bump in to either of you guys much!
Can confirm it's washer fluid! Just tried using the headlight jets and it's the same fluid . Reservoir smells way better though so I imagine it's old fluid that's not been used or flushed!
Does anybody have any ideas what this is? Haven't been able to get the car on stands yet.
There's a pool of liquid on the passenger side underneath the headlight. Feels and looks exactly like water, smells a bit like vinegar. Appears to be collecting behind my splitter??
It's a 182 that's...
Thanks, at work currently so no pics. I'll give the polish another go! I'm going to have used more than 50% of the packet soon, what other polish could I use? I've got some regular Autoglym resin polish, some T-Cut and also stainless steel exhaust polish.
Hi guys, I've just done one headlight last night before my drill ran out of juice, with a 3M kit. The headlight is way smoother but is still a little cloudy and not quite transparent. Does this mean it needs more resin polish or 3000 sanding??
thanks!
Yep, Tescos Momentum to Tescos 95, fixed the problem since filling up last week, granted I've only driven it on two days since (cold morning stand, 12+ hours left standing).
Isn't that probably because they cost a few hundred or something ridiculous?
I've had this second start issue for over 2 years, tried Tescos 95 and although it chugged a bit, it's started first time every day! Normally use Momentum. Will see if it stops spluttering after a week.
I was trying to take the rear bumper off and started with the arch liner, didn't give it much and the bleeding thing snapped off, now one of my liners is flapping about a bit and clashing with the damper.
Is it a BIW bolt/stud? Anybody got any suggestions on how to fix it back in to place? Is...
I've seen the IXEL code on here, but I was wondering how easy it is for shops to match the original with this code? I really love the way the wheels glow and shine when clean, but I've got a few chips and kerb marks from the previous owner that I'd like to sort at some point. Just really scared...
