I was more interested in finding out that advert for them going cheap. I think one of the members on here was a dealer and could get new uk ones @ like 10-10-12k an old post!
The 172 vs cup thing is obviously relative and only based on peoples tastes, but i just wondered which was most...
[This is Scribbler not Diesel Power]
I think a few months back i saw some one saying that they could sell brand new 172 and cups at about 10/11k. Now since the skip jumped out at me (watch out for them they are lethal) I am going to buy one iminantly so any advice on where to get the cheapest...
The skip had one cone infront and lights tagged on the side although the van was parked as to obscure all view of the skip surely distance should be put between the van and the skip so you can see the warning cone/lights on approach. The skip now has about 5 cones around it the lights are...
Yeah thanks guys i recon if i had been doing 40 and the girlfriend had been in the passenger seat, well i dont even want to think about it! The skip obviously didnt absorb any impact coz its solid which is why mine looks so bad had i just hit a car i think things would have been better. Managed...

Cheers lads. Fred Ill probably see you at the Midlands meet on the 6th Apr. If I get the stuff by then you can give us some tips. Do you have the schematic diagram for that special sine wave inverter, cos I can probably make that myself. Would save a few quid anyway.
Well its just speculation mate it could be something else. But if Im right you can get it sorted by anyone who knows what theyre doing, if you open the amp up you might still be able to smell burning, if you have a decent ICE shop near you theyd be able to tell you whats gone, it could be...
I was thinking of putting a ps2 or gamecube in the car. does anyone have any experience of this? I want it to be permanent, so no dodgy wires sticking out of the cigarette lighter.
I saw Freds ps2 at the brands hatch meet so if youre out there mate can you give us a hand.
I thought about...
I would put this down to the amp mate. Not experienced it personally but as an electronics engineer Id say that by removing the ground unintentipnally you have left the earth floating meaning the p.d. (potential difference) between Vcc and ground has varied spuriously. Possibly blown capacitor...
Seriously looking around @ the above and will be purchasing one. However which version is the best, what are the differences.
My 1.4rt is 1996 phase 2 so i would idealy like all the new stuff like airbag central locking p/stearing etc. do all versions of the willy have this?
If any one is...
I had loads of fun in the 1.2 when I borrowed it, it actually managed 110 down the M1 and a few handbrake turns before it broke. Actually prefer the diesel by far.
Yeah by the looks of it if you add the intercooler you could get the 80 chip which adds another 20 - 25 bhp that would give 105 on...
Nice. :D I see VW havent gone overboard with the name on that one. Could you imagine asking for that in a garage... Can I have a... F**K forgot what it was called!!!
Oh also... brake pads are a piece of piss to replace, are they making a grinding sound from the back like metal on metal, if so the shoes shouldnt cost you too much.
As for the exhaust, you should be able to get some filler for that temporarily (I think) advice on that, anyone?
You could get shot in the leg and only be able to take part in three legged races for the rest of your life...
The most important thing is that clutch. If that isnt sorted soon youll burn it out and need new clutch plate, could work out more expensive for that than whatever is making it stick...
Cheers for the link mate. Im getting confused... I keep getting told different things - The DCi has a turbo, the DCi doesnt have a turbo.... Whos right?. When I bought it they told me it had a turbo and superchips have it as a turbod car under their listings.
Rob I heard the shipments where all bought up for this year so youd be waiting a while, never drove one but my mate is an engineer for RS in Northampton and he doesnt rate it, not really a good advertisement.
After all four wheels and a board makes a Ford.
As you can guess by the unimaginative name I have a diesel. But dont worry I still get the ladies and have not yet resorted to wearing a flak jacket and wellington boots.
Its a DCi 65 and needs to be fast. Any diesel engineers know how to achieve this??? Considered superchip.
Also want to...
Scribblers cars looking nice on the website. Lowering it further really makes a good difference on the handling, probably depends on the size of the wheels on it though, Clio14RT has 15" on his so if youre planning on riding 17s you shouldnt lower as much.
