Ah right. So is the oil leak likely to be vvt solenoid then? And is it an expensive fix?

After being put back together it started though.

Yeah im talking cambelt side. Both the socket and the spark plug had oil on them.

This morning I couldn't start the car, it was turning over but didn't seem to have a spark.. had a few spare parts kicking about so change the coil pack which did nothing.. I then went to change plugs and leads, upon removing the spark plug out of cylinder 4 there was an alarming amount of oil...

No, but while it was off I did change the injectors, spark plugs, ht leads and lambda sensors..

My 172 cup has been sat doing nothing in the garage for the past 9 months. Trying to get it back on the road now but when its running it has on the battery and stop light. Iv put a new battery in the car but this is still happening, is it likely to be the alternator that's bringing up these...
