As above - any questions please ask

Tubes are formed and welded (you can see the weld line) I'd suggest monkey metal, probably old washing machines and coke cans from China...
Looking good now, reakon I can finish the red polo before you? :P
Bought it straight from Garrett- I believe it's the standard upgrade for a Lotus Carlton (with two obviously)- as it's a 1.3 I'd struggle to spool anything much bigger, even with 9.3:1 CR.
TD04 are really solid turbos- run them at work and rarely have problems, although now need to change as...
Fortunately it's got a decent sized cooler on it, and runs a water/methanol injection aswell.
The turbo you see in the pictures is a GT2554R, will probably run 18psi. Old turbo was a K03 removed from a 20v Passat, good for 20psi+ on the 1.8t so not really inefficient on a Polo engine.
Would...
A tiny turbo doesn't help...
Even so, it would cross the line at the same time as your Trevor if this is to be believed:

:)
Jamie- went quite well on bodies, would have been about 120bhp and 110lbft if I'd finished the mapping. I was going to fit direct port nitrous onto it aswell. However I drove my brother's G40 Turbo and sacked N/A off... I do miss the sound, but boost is the only way!
Whiteley- Hope to see you...
I'm in Cheshire, work at Bentley as a Test Engineer for Engine Development. Thanks for the kind words :)
I'm trying to organise a Polo G40 vs Cliosport RWYB day sometime next year, all the Club G40 boys are up for it, so register your interest here...
The eaton chargers do make good power, but I can't stand the sound! :o
Here's my other polo:
Once I've got the red one rebuilt I'll start on that- it's waiting for a Saab 9000 Aero motor, 350bhp and 400lbft
So 2009s events:
Few pics from GTi Festival, and a couple of videos now :-)

And some videos:
UK's Quickest FWD Polo
Polo vs RS4
The engine remains a 1.3 8V only changes internally are forged pistons
Thought I'd introduce you guys to my toy car- I do enjoy the Clio on the road, great bang for the buck, but I'll always be a VW lad at heart.
My car started as a 1991 Polo GT, seen here:
Didn't start life like that, was probably after 2 years or so, used to run a 90bhp 3f engine and 80bhp...
Mine runs 23psi. With no problems.
Who are these 'mates' with turbo'd G40s??
The little G40 bottom ends are good for 300bhp if you know what you're doing.
As for fixing it, parts are about 50p, and always fitted with a 10, 13 or 17mm spanner :rasp:
If it's a silver 6n2 I'd steer clear...
Nope, been on nights this week as we've got endurance engines running currently.
I only ask as he's a good mate/customer so wondered how it was shaping up- should be reasonably quick, it's got 194bhp!
Just realised Mark has also converted me to Renault with his Clio I now own.... arse.
I only live 10miles from Oulton- facialbook me next time you're off.
Sorry, I should have realised I was talking to a heathen :rasp:
I've converted Mark with the dub love (all be it a dirty diesel) you're next!
This one:
It does indeed, hence a slightly lower calorific value than other 100% petrol fuels- thus needing more of it for the same power output (less MPG).
Shell used to be the only ones who would gaurantee (and provide a test certificate) that their fuel was 99ron at the pump- although if you get and...
Personally I'd leave the vent there (possibly without the plastic) rain won't hurt the turbo when hot, providing you keep it in the garage most of the time should be reet.
Dude, drop me a line tomorrow when you're up here, working nights at the moment (hence replying at half 2 in the morning).
K04 225bhp (BAM engine) has a smaller port head and a weaker bottom end than the AGU Mark's using ;)
Manifold looks good mate, probably worthwhile thinking about some...
Should have a few more pennies next Friday.... and a red VW :rasp:
Project looks good dude- I'd brace the underside of your nearside engine mount though, triangulate it to the chassis leg on the overhang.
Sad fact is, you'll still get beaten by a Polo ;)
