The car looked very good in the photos in the ebay advert.After seeing the bucket of dung in the flesh though,I'd say they are pretty old photos,we should have asked for up to date photos but lesson learnt.I always take fresh photos when selling something and just expect others to do the same.

Evening all,bit of a strange one to me this. When I try to reverse the car cuts out,no drop in revs as such but just a complete stop.It's been doing it on and off for a while now but it seems to be a lot worse the last day or so. Anyone got any ideas before I go and visit the local dealer?

I believe the term for mine is something along the lines of driven not detailed

You should polish it a bit more,take some paint of it and make it lighter,might be as fast as mine then :butt:

We thought we did yes,marked it and made sure it was exactly where we had marked before fitting the new wheel.Due to the boss being wrong it was missing the knob on each side that goes in through the ring.I think anyway. Looks like when I turned the wheel the sensors not been turning...

How much is cheap Austin? Looks like i'm going to need one anyway Is it just a case of fit a new one or does it have to go to Renault to be set or anything?

The SW reg is Scotland so it would have been registered up here somewhere originally,we have a Ness motors in Inverness and I put 2 and 2 together and came up with 73 as usual. Been raking through some photos and it's not the car I was thinking off,nice to see a local one though all the same.

Maybe not then,saw the Ness Motors number plates and thought it was the one. Number was similar anyway.

Yes they're very rare over there,I was reading about a restored series 1 turbo that maybe for sale on the RSOC,one of very few that was originally registered and still resides in Belgium. The 16i is a rare car over here too but there's always one or two for sale,they're a very unique car...

Yeah thanks for that. They're old cars that very costly to run properly with the correct parts.That 16i in particular had a few issues that annoyed me the whole time I had it.It was time to let go of the old Ford scene for a while,they b**ch like nothing on earth over the least little thing...

Went and bought a 182 today,fitted the induction kit that I bought for it last week,hate waiting for parts to arrive. Then gave it a wash ready for a proper tidy up tomorrow.Good to be back in a 182 :cool:
