    Electrical fault????

Well just been to a mate of Das' who's an RAC man who stuck a battery tester on it. Said it should crank 420A and it's kicking out 30A. So he thinks it's just a dead battery and as its the original one that sounds about right for its age. New battery tomorrow morning and see what happens.

    Electrical fault????

We checked it. And all the earths seem fine. The car starts when we jump it from my 197. It doesn't start straight away tho like when normally jumping a car. It takes about 10 mins to get enough Juice to crank it over. Wondering if the battery is dead. If I disconnect my 197 battery and...

Active Sub Wiring (Kenwood) with pics

Not going into where the numbers come from. But if it's 150watt max. Work on 106watts rms. It's a signle channel amp so that is the wattage value we shall use. Double that then divide the total by 13.8. We get approx 15.4amps. That's too much to safely ask from the head unit wiring.

Active Sub Wiring (Kenwood) with pics

Ish yeh. But don't forget you have the current drain from the hu and display aswell. And the ac part will have little effect on the current that the amp draws so it can be worked out using dc quantities. If you want a proper estimation then you would have to look at an instantaneous current...

Active Sub Wiring (Kenwood) with pics

Dude. Don't wire it to the HU power supply. Please! It's not worth the risk. If we say the hu is 100 watt max plus the 150 watt max sub. You could draw pushing 20amp. The headunit wiring will not be designed to take that sort of current. Run it to the fuse box. Or to the...

    Pic request please.

Hi everyone. Sorry if this is a little rude but I thought I'd ask. I've done a search and didn't find what I was looking for. Anyway, I've just chopped my 1.2 in for a red 197 with the cup spoiler. It is IMO a stunning car but I feel with it being red it needs something else. So I'm...

yeh RMS is route mean squared, In electronics terms: To find peak from RMS multiply by root 2 To find RMS from peak divide by root 2 However a lot of the time these calcs don't work for audio because makers use something called PMPO wich is really a made up term to make things seem better than...
