I bought some OZ wheels and had the same problem.
I think there's a serial number engraved on the inside of the wheels. I rang/emailed OZ and they told me what Spigot rings I needed. Think they were about £50 from OZ, but once you know the size, you could just order a different brand.
Yeah, I really hope it's not raining as well. Not sure what the forecast is for the weekend.
The cars should be out running anyway, a lot of the cars coming are proper race cars, so they should have their wet tyres with them!
The Radicals are insane. Massive buzz just being a passenger, can...
Hi,
Thought I'd post this up here as it seems there are a few local to Castle Combe, and a few trackday drivers on this forum!
There's a charity event this Saturday at Castle Combe, in aid of the Stroke Association.
Entry is £5 on the gate for adults and then there are passenger rides...
I think it happened as they were exiting The Esses. Looked a bit strange!
Ah, just found a vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcPAyj-zeE8
Looks like he just lose the front bumper in the 206.
Yeah, watched it on TV in the end!
Much better really, as you get to see all the action.
206 and the TT had a bit of drama. I see the 206 made it out for the 2nd race aswell. The TT driver did not look happy when he got out of the car!
Ahh, so that's what happened. Didn't realise he came off the track. I saw the Rover going round smoking. He made it quite far before retiring.
Great drive. Seemed so much quicker than all the others!
Do you know what his brake setup is and what tyres he was using?
My insurance with bell has gone up slightly, but they were still the cheapest I could find. Insurance seems to have gone crazy this last couple fo years.
Could try some of the more specialist insurers, but it depends on the sort of mileage you'll be doing on the road?
I'll probably be moving...
Have used Able Fit in Longwell green before.
Had my tracking done there. They said to come back in a week and they'd check it again for free.
Pro Tyre in Bristol seem to be highly regarded aswell.
just reset it every time I fill up.
Yeah, I usualyl stick to 60mph during the week. 'spose it's a bit of the driving round town and usually get stuck in traffic at least once a day.
Know of a decent guy in Bristol. Not too far really.
Just got on Clio16valver.co.uk and search for Cliolord. The guys got a great reputation over there.
I can't seem to get mine above 62mpg. Done Bristol to London last week and still couldn't get it any higher, but that was mixed from 70-80mph.
Just had a service aswell, so should be runing nicely.
80bhp one.
Has a trip computer, I just get a bit paranoid when the light comes on and the range goes blank. Not had the car long, so it's the first time I've used a full tank.
I'll know now for the future that it's got a bit more left in it.
Paid £69. That was at an expensive station. Didn't wanna risk the drive home, but sounds like it would have been fine to make it. Could have filled up near home and paid 5p a litre less.
Bloody crazy when you think it is just a Clio. No hatchback should cost that much to fill up, ever!
Still...
Ive got a 2004 80bhp version for daily use. It's not the quickest, but for 600 miles from a tank, I can put up with it.
computer shows 80 miles left in the tank, then the light comes on and it goes blank, does anyone know how much further it's got when the light comes on? computer was saying...
The difference between 888s and T1Rs on my Williams was massive.
That's running the standard 15 year old suspension aswell. Coilovers are next on the list!
Can't wait 'til it's running decent coilovers and the 888s.
Road tyres quickly become the weak link on trackdays.
yeah, knowing what a difference tyres make, I kind of feel a missed on the proper experience with the car.
Used to cost me £35 to fill up, would usualy get around 300 miles to a tank, but that was driving like a proper fairy!
It's definitely the sort of car you need to drive, as I don't think...
The shittest quality ride of any car I've driven.
Was good fun though.
Slightly dissapointed that the one I had for a while had ditch finder tyres. Would have loved to have seen what it would be like on the origina Eagle F1s. The handling with the crap budget tyres was still impressive...
Haha!
I know who owns that car. I'll try and remember to mention it next time I see him.
Does sound good, I must say. Heard it a couple of weeks ago. Don't think it's standard, my 197 didn't sound anywhere near as good as that!
The cheapest price is for the tailgate trim.
The most expensive price if for the front door cards.
If you click on 'view options' it will show you the different prices.
I've just got a sunroof blanking panel from them. Can't recommend them enough. Great people to deal with.
