I started this thread over 4 years ago :astonished: I've put in around 1200 hours since it was released. The next big patch is released to beta on Monday 27th. It includes multi-crew and an avatar creator. I entirely understand that it is a marmite game, but as a huge fan of Elite and Frontier I...
Just an observation, but the throttle body seems to be attached in 3 different positions to the inlet in the images above. Is that likely to matter at all, or have no impact?
That looks absolutely brilliant. Bet you are looking forward to getting it mapped.
Can I ask what length of M6 threaded bar you bought, did you cut down a 1 metre bar or buy them pre-sized. What length did you use in the end to attach the fuel rail? Which model of VW did you find the...
How are people dealing with the coolant pipe that the intake rests and puts pressure on? Are you shortening the pipe, replacing with an aftermarket samco or silimar or some other mechanism.
I wonder if it would be useful to put together a guide for fitting the inlet and what additional parts are...
So if I put the standard map back on via the RSTuner it will still be locked? I assume only specific people will have the ability to unlock it or will any mapper be able to unlock it?
A quick question, even with a very early RSTuner does the ECU get locked? This isn't something I taken into consideration when I bought the Intake, I'd kind of assumed that I could just get it mapped. I take it I'd need to get the ECU unlocked before someone else will be able to map it?
My...
It'll be interesting to see what filter setups people go for and which cams are best for use with the intake. From reading an old thread on the RS2 the 197 cams seemed to be quite popular to use with it.
New knock sensor and oil pressure sensor fitted and the warning lights are gone. Oil pressure was tested as being OK, so looks like faulty sensors were the cause.
Thanks, its definitely the knock sensor that's disconnected as its a brown connector with the red and white wire as you mention. Given the error I was having I assumed it was the oil level sensor until I looked at a image with the sensor locations. Do you have any idea's on which oil pressure...
Apologies it looks like its the knock sensor that is disconnected and not the oil level sensor 😧 I actually have a new Valeo knock sensor lying around so I'll get it fitted. Not sure now why the STOP and OIL light has come on, so maybe there is something a bit more terminal going on...
Looking for a little advice. I had the STOP and OIL lights appearing on my 182. My initial thoughts were oh crap that'll be the engine on the way out then, but after a bit of investigation I found that the Oil Level Sensor had become disconnected and I assume this is what is causing the error...
When you put the wiper motor back in, it mounts on a post which is quite easy to miss. If its not quite mounted right you'll get the sort of noise your describing.
Kickstarter project started 3 days ago to get funding for the game.

I've been waiting for Elite IV to come along for a long time :)
My 182 failed its last MOT on emissions, no warning lights on. They took out the manifold lambda sensor, cleaned it and it then passed. I suspect i'll need to replace the sensor before next MOT.
How easy was the KTR induction kit to fit? I'm still waiting for mine to show up, hopefully it will do this week while im still on holiday. Do you think the noise will ever get a bit tiresome?
The last few times i've thought the steering has felt odd on my 182 it has been the balljoints. The steering is currently feeling dogdy again and it has been diagnosed as play in the inner track rods, so im having those and the track rod ends replaced.
I did have a broken front right spring...
Any ideas on part number? Failing that i'll probably need to take the car to Renault to get them to determine the correct parts. I had hoped to avoid using them especially for labour.
I would prefer to do that, but I'd read that the inner tie rods for cup packed 182's are a Renault only item. I just wanted to confirm if that was really the case. If its not it makes life a whole lot easier :)
Just received a reply back from Renault stating that they need to know the make of steering rack in my car as the tie rods will differ depending upon what the make is, so they couldn't provide me with a part number without this info. Does that sound correct?
Is it still the case that inner tie rods for the Clio 182 with cup supension are a Renault only item? Does anyone know what the part number would be?
Thanks.
Still as broken, and now on its way to a 4th garage as the previous 2 both couldn't fit the belt with the second alternator bolt tightened up. There has to be something out of alignment, twisted or broken.
Anyone any ideas why the aux belt isn't fitting, no-one seems to be able to find any fault...
Possibly, but they tend to like taking cars to the nearest garage rather than your preferred garage so they would probably try to take it to Renault in Dundee or at a push Ness Motors in Perth.
Just sent them a quick email asking for an estimated price to replace the aux belt, RH front driveshaft and to have the car transported to them. Will see what they come back with.
Thanks for that, didn't realise there were any Renault specialists nearby. Depending upon how things go over the next day or so i'll maybe get in touch with them.
