Totally agree mate - they're exceptional value and the 182 is now worth circa £7.5k - the RS cost me £14k !

Do what I did.... Move onto a Focus RS and never look back!! Bigger, a lot quicker (certainly far more torque), very easy to tune, rare, quite stealthy, awesome grip (well, in the dry - in the wet WILL kill you) I love it

I just got a Focus RS and love it. Spent £1,200 on mods (bluefin, sports cat and milltek exhaust) and has been rolling roaded at 255 bhp... It is extremely rapid, good looking and reliable, and cheap to look after. Only down side is the fuel costs... £50 of Vmax gets me 220 miles tops :S

Well, the £1,000 or so for the mods doesn't equate to a V6. And I did buy something better - I got the Focus RS!

I've owned a Mk3 fiesta, a Mk5 Fiesta Zetec S, a Clio 182 and now a Focus RS. And the reverse order is pretty much my order of favourites :O) Out of all the cars I've ever driven, would have to be the single seat race car @ Thruxton, lol!

She's done 29k, on an 04 plate... And cheers!! I love the Focus SO much. It shifts some now too, especially with the mods. Sound of the Milltek is proper WRC stuff. Fuel bill is steep though... especially as my clio did 250 miles + out of a tank (which is 15 litres less!)

I've heard from the Focus RS owner's that those cars drink petrol. 220 miles out of a 55 mile tank of VPower!

I considered a megane but do much prefer the look of the RS. Agree the interior is an acquired taste!! Comfy though, I'm 6ft2 and it was easier to drive than the Clio (my knee hits my wheel when I change gear, even on max height :S )

Budget is £13k - £14k. Drove an RS today and have kinda fallen in love with it. Crazy cornering ability and deceptively quick. My mate's is a phase II with 45k on the clock. Great condition thou. What do you reckon it should be worth? I think £12.5k, looking at pistonheads as a benchmark?
