ok another question, im guessing that whatever it uses to engage the aircon pump (servo??) is overloading the circuit and blowing the fuse, does anyone know were it is and what it is please
Cheers mate, its a bit difficult to see but I can just make out the nut against the thermostat housing, do you put any sealant on the threads or not?
Andy
The arse end doesnt wallow as much (read fast) they feel more in control of the rise and fall of the car, and i have them on the softest setting, so they are firmer than stock already, and touch wood, upto now, the oil remains inside the shock :approve: I paid around £200 for them.

I've had the yellow painted konis on my 182 for 2 months, got them from demontweeks, excellent dampers, after 2 sets of renault shocks spilt there fluid everywhere I have had enough them
I ran over a tyre yesterday that was stuck in the 3rd lane of the M6, checked for damage last night and its just left a mark down the undertray and a mark on the centre box, which i presume houses the 2nd cat, last night going home it was a bit lumpier till it got warm, but this morning it...
Can someone please tell me or point me to a website listing bilstein or koni rear shocks for my 182 please, dont need any fancy adjustable ones ,just ones that keep oil on the inside not like renault 5hite.
Already tried demon tweeks who only do koni adjustable at £176
Cheers
Andy
My 182 has started to clank when coming on and off under light throttle, but it seems to disappear when the cars hot. I used to have a similar problem on an old VTS I had, which was traced to the gasket between the downpipe and the rest of the exhaust, do clio's suffer this problem also.
TIA
Andy
well it looks like 172's do suffer from it so thats not going to solve it

you think the wires to the sensor are dodgy? I cant believe bosch or somebody like that makes replacement ones.
Fred. I take it theres no issues with 172 temp senders then?? Surely renault would just fit that sensor if it was that easy, 2nd thoughts main dealer.... its already had one under warranty and been back since then but the bloody thing wouldnt play up for them..
Does anyone have any info on a non renault water temp sensor that will cure once and for all the fault factory sensors have on 182's please:mad:
TIA
Andy
They are plain old motaquip ones, theres something not right because ive just done around 50 miles with them and they are binding on, also the bottom 10mm of the disc face nearest to the centre is untouched :dapprove:
Is it possible to overtightened the 2 bolts that hold the caliper on and...
umm...dont like the sound of that, they are in as far as the 2 lips on the backing of the pad but on the outer edge of the pad they stick out 2-3 mm above the edge of the disc
I fitted some new pads at the w/end, but i noticed that some of the pad material actually sticks up beyond the disc face, so not all of the pad will make contact with the disc, is this normal??
Andy
spanner on nipple ready
person in the car applys pressure to the pedal
slowly undo the nipple till the peddle goes to the floor then retighten the nipple
lift foot of peddle and do the same again till no more bubbles appear
I doubt your local garage will have the ability to read ecu faults, I took the wifes 182 to a local garage for its 12k service, I believe that as long as the garage is vat registered and follow renault service schedule then no probs re warranty.
Ive taken our clio to sunwins in renault for...
scutch i guess its subscription only, all i get is
