Thanks for that.
When I looked down the manifold I couldn't see any joint between the head and the manifold so assumed it was part of the manifold.
I'll take it off tomorrow and have a proper look.
Thanks
Hey everyone
I started to remove the inlet manifolds to port match them this weekend. Firstly my 172 ph2 is already fitted with an RS stamped lower inlet, which is good. I have taken the top one off to have a look at the mating surfaces and markings on the gaskets and whilst having a look I...
I've only been on here a little while, and had my 172 for about 8 months, but I have noticed that on here very mixed opinions. I have recently bought that induction mod, but yet to fit it. I bought a 4-2-1 manigold and sport cat from a 182 as well. I am hoping to port the inlets get a decent...
I like the recently modern high gloss black look.
Another completely different question. Have you tried or have any thoughts on port matching inlets.
I am hoping to do mine this weekend.
@Kchristmas I don't know if they were discoloured but the plastic on mine were all one colour and we're definitely not in the condition to be put back in the car without being painted or dipped.
@MRBILLYUK I am painting them black gloss. Although I am now going to have to paint the door latch...
Just a bit of an update incase you are interested.
The detail completely stripped the rubber coating off. They've been sanded down and I've primed them both, and top coated one (ran out of primer after the first one). Should have them both done by tomorrow.
Thanks again for the tip.
Thanks for the tip. I soaked the first one overnight last night and I just checked it earlier and the rubber coating has completely fell off.
Perfect.
The second one is soaking now.
Hey
I am considering painting my interior grab handles gloss black to match a couple of other bits and pieces. However the grab handles are not in great shape. I've cleaned them with a few products including tar & glue remover but they are still a bit sticky to the touch and if you scrape your...
I got the powerflex Exh001 the other day. It fits perfectly. Take the old mount off remove the remains of the old rubber and the new one slides straight on.
Bit of a stupid question. My centre exhaust hanger snapped and partially fell off. I want to replace it with a powerflex hanger. I have no idea what the old one looked like and there are loads on the power flex site. Can someone tell me which one I need.
Thanks
Hi all
A bit of a cheeky question. Does anyone work at Renault and is able to get discount on some genuine parts?
I am looking to refresh the front suspension bushes and was wondering if anyone would be able to get the wishbone bushes and all 4 ARB bushes?
I was thinking about getting...
Thanks for your input. I was kinda set on a couple of basic changes filter, exhaust & remap and then tighten up the suspension. The brakes will probably just get attention as they wear out.
I have to say though, I used to have an Audi A5 but the 172 is much more fun to drive than the A5.
Does anyone still do the steering wheel decal's? Considering getting a my wheel retrimmed from Snappy but want to change the insert and apply new decal?
thanks
Hi
I have searched the forum to find out who can retrim a steering wheel. Everyone talks about "snappy" retrim, not sure what this means tbh.
Can anyone tell me where to get a wheel retrimmed and approximately how much it costs
cheers
Thanks, seems to be mixed views some people reckon it's worth doing. Everyone says its a bit of a nightmare to fit though!!!
What mods do you think are worth doing?
Thanks for your input
Hi

My issue is one of the cables under the passenger seat has been cut.
