Finally changed thermostat only to find no thermostat actually fitted to the car, now I have car running better as it is now getting up to normal temperature. Should have expected as such knowing the previous owner! Car seems to be running about 6-7mpg better off at lower speeds as well. So all good
Yeah it moves slowly can do 10 miles and virtually no moment eventually creeps up after sitting in traffic but only to around half way, sounds like a new stat on the cards then, thanks for the info will try after I've had a quick look at instructions cheers, love this forum
My water temperature gauge hardly ever shows normal temperature usually it shows around a third then occasionally almost up to normal then drops. The mpg also doesn't seem to show much more than 31-34 mpg It's a 172 phase 2 it had been off the road for a while, it's had new spark plugs...
I have this pipe on the pulley side of my engine it is blanked off but clearly looks like it should be attached to the engine round the back. ClioSport 172 ph2

My 172 had a really bad misfire all through the range when I bought it off the previous owner, who thought it was serious so sold it cheap, changed HT leads and the put in new NGK plugs misfire sorted, just fixing all the other problems, but should start there first. Good luck hope it turns out...
Just tried fitting front K-Tec Racing coilovers to my 172 and have just realised that the two upper bolts at the bottom of the shock have a strengthening flange that doesn't allow the standard nut and bolt to fit flush. I have contacted K-Tec to find out what I need, they replied I need the...
Thats sounds a good idea as I can't move the car. did try and split the nut in half, but looks like that is going to take some time but the other side I will look at getting the machine mart impact gun.

Yeah it is off the floor now as I had to remove wheels and to get new tyres, will have problem using impact driver as i haven't got one or accces to one and cant move the car, even when I get the wheel the front spring broken and will slice the wheel as it already had done! I will try and move...
