Unsure of the value... Please enlighten me! I am about to buy a 12 plate 200 in Plymouth and have been offered £1,100 trade in.
FF 182 05 plate, completely standard except for Snappy re-trimmed steering wheel, Scorpion 192 exhaust.
The good:
I have owned this car since 2008, it has full Renault...
Hi all, after a bit of help please...
Have had my cambelt, dephaser, etc changed in the last 12 months and now I have an odd noise on idle, a bit of ClioSport searching/YouTube detective work and some man-logic from my neighbour seems to suggest it may be the water pump on its way out (90k+...
We got married in Plymouth last year and I cannot recommend http://www.pauljandrews.co.uk/ highly enough. Although he is Plymouth based, I'm sure he'd consider work more further afield.
I had something similar to this in mine about 6 months ago, turned out to be the coolant temperature sensor and/or thermostat (not sure, changed both).
Nothing else happened at first, and I just slowed down/stopped booting it and the power came back/hesitation stopped.
The give away for mine...
Or at best be temperamental! I've managed to get the fault code, can anyone tell me which one it refers to and will it be an easy fix? I'm driving from Suffolk to Plymouth this weekend, is this doable or am I destined to be sat in my wife's Fiesta??
Morning all,
Had cambelt and dephaser replaced about two weeks ago, drove home last night and engine/emissions light is now on. Am going to phone them, take it back and get it looked at, but can anyone give me a rough idea of what it could be just so I'm a bit more clued up when I do?
Have had...

I've used them for the past three years and so far (touch wood) have never had an issue, my car is there this week having it done, they...
Car: 182 FF
Age: 30
Insurer: Admiral
Price: £300 (6 years NCB protected) - cheaper elsewhere by as much as £80, but Admiral's multi-car means my wife saves a fortune on her Fiesta
Result: Happy wife, easy life
Definitely, with roughly 10k miles of motorway per year driven after 7pm so not much stop-start needed... that leaves me with about 5k miles of 'fun' driving per year so on that basis I guess it's average tyre wear. Or roughly 10k miles per set of tyres if you assume a tyre change every two...
Have had Michelin Pilot Exaltos last 20k plus from when I originally bought the car at 11k miles in 2008 until when I changed all four tyres at c35k miles and tread left on all four was 4-5mm (2010). Changed all four tyres again at about 65k miles (last year) so got 30k miles out of the second...
Firstly hello all and apologies for the lengthy first post!
My 182 developed a sudden fault last Friday and I'm wondering if anyone has any clue as to what's going on. If it only involved the engine temp, I'd assume it was a knackered CTS or thermostat as per the numerous threads on here...
