Clio's with mudflaps?

  UR R26R.5, VW Golf R
Noticed a RB182 yesterday with mudflaps, and thought it looked awful.

Got me wondering, can the Clio look good with flaps on? I certainly won't be adding them to mine, but just out of curiousity, post up some pics of Clio flappage?

Answered your own question ;)

Well, not quite. I said an RB182, whereas a Clio is any Clio across the range not just limited to the racing blue colour. I think that was the problem - the colour of the car.

As another example, my P1 looked great with flaps on. Other Impreza's looked turd.

etc.

Nahh, Clios with mud-flaps look terrible ;)

For example:

Although, it is made worse by the fact that those are obviously cheapo ebay flaps and its on a totally standard 1.2 LOLz

  Turbos.
I hate, hate, hate mud flaps on cars. I appreciate some people put them on to protect the paint, but the irony is they're making the car look worse in doing so.

Rally flaps are just bent...

Apparently cars in scotland have to be sold with mud flaps / guards, met a lad at NWP who had bought a 182 from scotland who had renault mud guards on, also the cars have to be fully undersealed due to the harsher winters, again he said it was for all cars sold out of scotland.

Any truth in this? lol

Oh my days.

I don't think it even deserves a reply.

Lol, this guy was convinced it was fact as I was suprised, stops the cars corroding quite so quick

They weren't full on dragging along the road rally flaps, just plastic moulds

proper, moulded "flaps" aren't too bad, but then theny're not flaps.

Used to have front and rear "protectors" on the MX-3, rounded off the wheel arches well, and helped keep mud splats down, slightly.

But as for the nail-on, rubber items, nah, gash.

not on a Clio, but from my experience, moulded ones must be painted up, else you're just starting down the road of having a 2-tone body kit

Well it would just be black plastic, like the fog light surrounds and mirror base plates so think they would look ok.

Think I might look into them as 'could' possibly suit the car

Mine used to have mudflaps until we got deep snow and I lost 3. Looked ok, unsure what they would have looked like colourcoded though
