^^ 119 ft lbs is not all that . It's a Ford so maybe then it's good ? I think a standard RS is supposed to make 150+lbs ft or so..

well raced a wrx the other day and destroyed it, raced my uncle in his pro-drive sti running 305 bhp beat him off the mark and to about 125mph but thats when his turbo pulled on but still not beat is by a big margin!! if you put a clio against an sti on twisty roads i'd dare say the clio would win

he cant drive a subaru then any one else should of left you in the weeds

Just Sold my Subaru Type-Ra and it was runing a rr @330 Bhp 315Ibft 0-60 4 Sec Dead:evil: Rwd Dccd Gearbox! and Now own the 172 Cup and must say the cup is fun and is quick But would get wasted by a classic Scooby! My scooby was 1100 kg so thats around 300 bhp per ton Clio has no Chance! But for a FWD Hot Hatch it is one of the best in its class A wicked Car and wont be having any more scoobys for a year or two Im keeping my Little 172 because its so good on juice and is fun to drive puts a smile on my face anyway!

I've driven a TB'd Clio and a Pro-Drive Scoob. 260 bhp I think they are. The Clio def felt quicker and much more exciting.
Mind you, I often see people who have spent thousands on tb conversions selling up soon after. This is probably more down to the expense of running the thing rather than dissatisfaction with its performance.

Spend what it costs to do a tb conversion on an impreza and you have a winner.

Everyone thinks tb's are a million leagues ahead of a std 172 in regards to power. The type of power that's going to snap your neck back. It's a load of bulls**t.

Tb's improve acceleration/power but not massively.

IMO it's a waste of money and I know this because I wasted around £6k doing it to my old 172. If only I knew now!

Throttle Body’s sound so sweet Good Vids them m8 done well With that Spec-C! Come to think of one of the only car's to stay from 50mph on in my mirror when I was running about 280Bhp but with two m8's in the car was a Williams Clio I was shocked! but later found out that it had TB's and spent a mint on the Motor! Lol!

Evos are Heavy Things and Drive you with all that Tecno Stuff! Any body can drive one! My old Ra used to smash Fq Evos and had no ABS or any gay stuff and Rwd a drivers car! This is what I love about the 172 cup! No Abs a raw Drivers car its all about the driver! But the Evo is one Cool looking car! But when I had a go of my m8's Fq320 it was like finding there was no father christmas as a kid Lol!

It would take a 310 bhp Clio cup @ 1000kg to match a subaru type-Ra @ 280bhp 1170kg! The Clio should push a 12.44 Quarter Mile and a 4.36 0-60 at this Power Turbo Clio is what you need to stick with scoobys and Evo but for what it would cost you to build and run you might as well get a Jap Turbo Beast! Have fun with this toy!

shouldn't be. Can be no different at all to standard on "normal" driving. Pushing it will use more fuel obviously, but that's down to simple fuel+air = power mathematics

If I had spent £6k on a p1 you would not see a scoob in that video because it would be so far ahead.

hmmm. i know both the cars in that vid. the scoob being on a par with my williams when it was cammed n chipped. so its not shy, and faired a hell of a lot better than a lot of the scoobs i played with. my mates ra spec 1 for e.g. round here, n these roads he couldnt get anywhere near, when i added the bodies, was a waste of juice for me then to let him try keep up.

the 172 was quite a bit quicker than my williams was on the bodies. altho to be fair i hadnt had it mapped.

martins was quick, but it took a while to get it there. i raced it when it was 1st done, there want much in it. and when craig had it. this was just with the cams/map tho.

Aircon bits are the restiction. I've fitted a sausage filter on a cup with even longer trumpets than that (admittedly with fag paper clearance)

the spec of the carat the time was 260 cams n remapped ecu with de cat n cat back. it was timed 0-60 at mid 5s. so ur right its not a 4 sec to 60 car . it does, however, not have the massively undergeared 4wd drivetrain of the ra.
