Can't complain mate, £300 delivered for a new set of slicks is a bargain. Probably same price as a set of Federal RSR or NS2R.

Definitely yeah.

I you want used slicks in the future, the Mini Challenge use 15" slicks in one of their classes. Can be had for £30 a tyre on ebay.

QC oven didn't work so got them back in the main oven. Got them up to 75°c this time so should be fine.

Where you buying the slicks from out of interest?
I saw these RS1s in demon tweeks a while back and was thinking about giving them a try in the future. From memory they were cheaper than A048s!
Couldn't find much info on the net about them though.

As I said to Phil earlier, if you want to try slicks then it's worth getting a set of used dunlops from the mini challenge cars.

Messaged the seller and he says theyre a soft to medium compound. Would these not be more suited to sprints/hillclimbs? Just wondering if theyd overheat on trackdays?
They should be perfect for the Clio mate as they're a medium GG compound (same as the r888s), maybe an issue on something lighter like a 7 or similar. We'll soon see come the 9th of Feb...I'll report back.

Yeah Id very interested to hear how youve got on with the slicks. Especially how they compared to other track tyres.

What width of wheel would be best suited to these ones on ebay?

I'll be running a 6J which is minimum for a 205, you'd be able to run up to 7.5J. I would fit them to my OZ F1's with a 7J but the offset is 43et and they may scrub without spacers. The OZ/Sparco RTT's I'm fitting them to are a 35et so should be fine.
