Nah man, billy basic Renaultsport one. The car had an engine change, and the rack was disconnected, then this appeared. I would have assumed the sensor was totally broken BUT the fact it's giving a uniform reading makes me think it is functioning as it should. Although how it ended up that way...

Just had the same issue, turned out there was no sensor in the roof where there shoud have been. Take the courtousy light surround out and unplug/re-plug the sensor maybe?

Aren't they part of the pedal on these or is that something else?

Hmmm, well inside the courtousy light surround there are 2 plugs and no sensors lol. So there lies my problem I believe... I spoke to the previous owner and he said he removed it before I bought it thinking it was an 'alarm' as it was buzzing continually. This is of course of it is the part...
