Width of car question

  182 (Conversion)
Hey guys another question from the guy with the f'd car.

Car is a "conversion" from a 1.2 to a 182. OK I'm a tit and shouldn't have gone near it without a full professional inspection. That said...

Why are the sports wider than the non-sports?

Do they have longer drive shafts or something?

I've got spacers on atm and the (front) wheels still sit slightly"recessed" into the arches. I'm worried that it's still running on the original 1.2 drive shafts (I phoned Renault and gave the part number off the DS and they said it didn't come up against the 182 but was the correct format number).

Also the hubs seem pretty wimpy.

Arhh cars! Anyone help?

what size brakes is it using?, and what is the bolt spacing on the strut to hub mounting, 58mm will tell you its a non RS strut/hub

280mm disks are RS, 269mm are non RS

Thanks for the reply.

I guess I'll have to get my tape measure out lol. The rotors are after-market (EBC crap) on standard (whatever they are) calipers.

Thanks for the tip on the hubs.
