What is this broken part on underside of car

It's in front of the backbox near where all the cables route to the rear brake. Looks to have broken out of its bracket, can any tell me what is it and its level of importance? Thanks!

That looks like that automatic brake bias actuator which changes how much the rear brakes are used depending on weight in the rear of the car.

Ok, so I'm thinking its not critical to repair but an idea at some stage soon? Argh, just one thing after another at the moment with this car, handbrake just went too!
