Hi all drove through a big pudle last nite and now have the electrical warning light on car starts up ok but only revs to 4000 rpm and when you try and drive it takes ages to pick up feal like its realy being held back any ideas wat might of got wet

Looks like the right because the batery is wet but took cove off fuse box and all lookd dry cheers

Take the battery out and leave it to dry overnight and see what happens.

Dnt think is the battery mate because all ignition works and car stsarts

What else is down the right end apart from ECU, Fusebox and Battery? All the sensors should be plugged in and i cant see it being coilpack related?


I wonder if you sucked up some water?

Be sure that the alternator didnt get too wet, maybe some water is still inside the voltage regulator at the back of the alternator...

Take it for an Italian tune up. Getting the engine nice and hot should dry out any water
