Vickyx's Green Machine ;)

Firstly, I apologise for the seriously poor pics which were taken on my iPhone and made worse by photobucket. I haven't had a chance to get any decent photos taken yet but I'll get some sorted and post them up soon.

Anyway, this all happened by accident really when I called TDF for a quote on a custom remap. I still can't believe the car left their workshop with it's current spec but i'm definitely not complaining! All I can say is they've completely transformed the car and I couldn't be happier with the figures it made on the dyno.

New additions:

AT power motorsport ITB kit (slam panel removed to fit longer trumpets) with EC1 ECU
421 Cat cams
Mocal Oil catch tank
Direct port 50bhp WON nitrous kit
ARP uprated con rod bolts
Heatsheild
Aerocatches with carbon fibre surrounds

I've since added a Whiteline ARB and have some pressed plates ready to go on to smarten it all up.

207.8 BHP
173.1 ft/lbs torque

Anyway, some photos (It needs a good scrub but it'll be getting it soon!)...

The car feels great and turns into an animal once it reaches 5000rpm which is really good fun . I haven't really had a chance to play with it properly yet as I picked it up a few hours before I flew out on a holiday but so far it's very good fun and I know I haven't seen half of it's potential yet. So far I've been too scared to arm the NOS switch (lol), so will save a bottle for Santa Pod/North Weald where I can give that it's first proper run. It now enjoys a little torque steer wiggle when I put my foot down so I think that's something I'll have to work on when it comes to the 1/4 mile.

Plans from here on out are:

KW coilovers
Upgrade the concrete bucket seats to something similar yet comfortable
Upgrade the current brake setup

I'm torn when it comes to the exhaust, for me it's character and every clio specialist I've been too has said that it has a unique sound due to the mix and match system. That's a perk for me however TDF said I would easily see another 5bhp with a different exhaust. Also I'd quite like to hear more engine, less exhaust at the moment (even though the pops and bangs are pretty cool) so I'm considering a recessed exhaust but I'll take my time to make my mind up on that one.

Anyway, that's all from me. Cheers for reading! :D

Thanks! I'm too scared to unleash the 257bhp atm but I'm sure it'll make for some epic fun at the drag strip :D.

very nice, did you do the engine conversion to 2L or buy it already converted, would love to see what a clio is like with 250+bhp

Ktec did the conversion for me 2 years ago. I bought the car as my first car when it was a 1.4 3 years ago.

needs stance?
:clown:

Love it Vicky, back at the karting I just assumed it was a gently-tarted-up 1.2.

Oh how wrong am I!

Lol, I know! I had the suspension raised and camber taken off as I was munching through tyres like nobody's business! I do miss how it looked though so it's booked in for camber adjustment this weekend :D.

Could do with a wash.

It's too cold to clean atm! I'm going to give it a good scrub at the weekend if I get a chance though.

Yeah tbh a LSD is becoming a must have. Not sure on tyres yet, might look to see if someones selling any worn track tyres nearer the time and give those a go.

I've loved your car since I saw it at TRAX a couple of years ago, I love the whole sleeper look,
just a bit of a shame the bonnet catches give it away a bit, but it can't be helped because if the trumpets so nevermind.

One hell of an upgrade, I love it even more now.

Looks great Vicky and great power/torque too, no longer a challenger for mine though lol :dapprove:

Just out of curiosity, where are you getting your camber sorted as thinking of getting camber bolts for mine and want to get it all properly aligned as it's pretty crap atm tbh lol!

Nice one, good to see you've still got the clio.

Looks brilliant, proper sleeper now with the cams, itb's and Nos!
Great Job :)

Crazy lady!! I love this car so much :D

I have to say if it were me I couldn't resist ditching the exhaust and going for "stealth" just to see the look on peoples faces as you casually pass.

What's the cage situation? Still rocking the Ktec jobbie?

Thats fantastic power to be making off gas, theyve done really well there :)

Must say im a bit surprised at the way they have done the nitrous install though, thats a monster amount of pipework caused by mounting the solenoids so far away, does it have a controller to allow you to dial in a delay for the nitrous solenoid to stop it going momentarily lean when you fire the gas?

You'll be getting a lot of phase change too from that much pipework which can make it less efficient.

Do you run a heater? If not then make sure you alter the jets when the weather gets better or you could have problems from the increase in nitrous pressure.

Ps

And they've plumbed the nitrous injectors in back to front as well by the way.

You really should get that nitrous install looked over by someone who knows what they are doing with a wizards kit really, Ive generally got a lot of respect for TDF so dont think im having a go, just want your car to be how it should be for you and you've got a few niggles there that are really going to stop you getting the best performance from that nitrous install!
