Vibration/rattle noise at 3800 rpm

Im getting a Vibration/rattle noise at 3800 rpm which then disappears over 4000 rpm. This can get very annoying as it equates to about 80mph on the motorway.

Its on my 172 and appears to be coming from the gearstick area inside the car.

Anyone else had this.

Most of the interior panels on my car have sellotape and neoprene foam attached to them somewhere to stop them rattling.

I get the same on my 182... I have replaced the cat and exhaust and only started since. You don't have a Janspeed do you??

I'm having a very loud noice in my 182 cup from 3800 rpm to about 4500 but this is coming from the Maxogen,and I hear it only in full throttle...

If its the heatshield does it mean it can tightened up or do I need to replace it.

Another thing its only noticable when im driving and not when i still & revving the engine.
