Upload speed

Me and a mate have been comparing our broadband speeds. we are both on BT fibre. Our download speeds are very similar, 36-37mb. My upload is just over 6mb, my mates is over 9. Just wondering if any of you who are more computer savvy can explain why.

I could only dream of an upload that high.

Mine on TalkTalk is a mere .67mb (not fibre but still!)

This^

-could be the capability of your PC (although at 6mb i doubt it)
-could also be the distance live from the telephone exchange even though its fiber there are still losses.
-even though you have fibre, fibre cables only run from the telephone exchange to your local junction box and from there to your house is copper and sometimes even aluminium cables so your losses could be there as well.
-another could be the amount of data being sent by your neighbours slowing your speeds down.
