Thank you Martin - it's been a very nice experience so far. I've really been looked after! I can certainly understand where you are coming from in terms of being a drivers' car. And I've not even touched the surface with this car yet (it's yet to be delivered). However, I knew within a few hundred yards that it was the one. 'Special' doesn't even begin to describe how I feel about it.

All i can say its that its been a pleasure.

The day i collected my first Porsche, in Guards/Trophy Red naturally, was one of the best days of my life.

So to be a part in making that happen for you, after all the issues with #165, genuinely makes me so happy ? ... ?????

Thanks buddy! I will enjoy it, no doubt. Luckily Porsche have kindly arranged to have it delivered straight to my doorstep via one of their preferred car transporters. It actually works out cheaper (and safer) to do that than it is to drive / train / fly to collect it. It is arriving Saturday afternoon!!!

Yeh definitely still interested depending on price and condition. I hope to be picking up a low miler in the next week or so and will drop in a forged block . Did you manage to get the parts left open to the elements in the yard assed and de-creepy crawlied yet?

The flywheel is mint (not been used!) and the turbo is mint (not been used!) All failed or missing parts were mostly replaced and the engine was sent back to the builder, assessed and fixed up again. All good as new and perfect condition with new and unused components in it. Quite a nice spec to be honest!

EDIT: The engine hasn't even been turned over yet.

May 2019 (continued) - A Slight Delay

There has been a slight delay in returning #165 back to standard due to not quite being able to find the time to source all the needed parts. This will likely happen towards the end of June now, giving me a bit more time to track down those outstanding bits.

On the flip side, I did say that T44PHY would live on. It does! The upgrade to T44PHY v2.0 is now official!

More news on #165 later in June...

I've read and followed this thread throughout it's ups and downs, but haven't really commented.

Although I've never met you, you're obviously a thoroughly nice guy, who completely deserves this STUNNING car!! (It's nice to see someone quite humble!)

Hopefully this will help heel the heartache caused by the Trophy!
