Stop! And check engine light...

Ok, so here goes, I have a clio with a d4f engine. In the bad rain, somewhere along the line it developed a missfire. After some part changes I still haven't found out why?

Anyway on the drive home from work the two lights STOP and check engine light illuminated. Now with no where to pull over, I kept going. The lights disappeared. For about 5 minutes it kept randomly going on and off.

I know its probably a long shot but anyone got any ideas?

I'm far from an expert mate but some of my lights were randomly flashing from time to time and it turned out to be a sensor, isn't the stop light only on when your handbrake is on

Could be water on a Sensor, I had the same. Mine fixed itself thankfully.

Just a bit of an update today, it turns out my head gasket has gone and there is water pouring out and has also caused an electrical fault, which is joyful.
