well try starting it up at the garage next time and leave it running an if it cuts out dont take it newhere and dont pay for it
Sounds like it could be a dodgy earth, or a short somewhere?
Would a dodgy (overcharging?) alternator cause it?

It was left running for 10 mins well I paid and was fine it cut out later that night after driving 10 miles
