Starting problem Clio 1.1 Night & Day Mk1

I've got a problem that has got worse over the passed week and now its got to the point where the car wont start.

Turns over but does not fire. Just about got it going yesturday witha miss fire which clearned once warm - then ran 100% fine all day.

Changed plugs, leads, dizzy cap. Only thing left is possibly points have closed up?

Any suggestions?

happened with mine ages ago, changed tdc now now starts perrrrfect.
