Squealing on full lock

Alright guys,

Fresh in at the Renaultsport scene after being out of it for a LONG time.

I've got a 172 ph2 and when the steering is on full lock it makes a good awful squealing noise.

Any ideas?

Power steering pump, aux belt or timing?

Aux belt will squeal if it's loose.

Only happens when on full lock though?

Anyway to tighten it? It's at 86k miles and looks like was last changes about 15-20k miles ago. Heard they're a nightmare if they snap?

Could this be battery related? The electric windows take forever to go up, and if I use a few electrics at once it feels as is the windows are just going to stop.

Ill carry out a battery test tomorrow, but could this bring the aux belt to squeal with lack of power?

Usually it's needing a new aux kit not just a belt.

Could it be anything to so with power output on the battery though? Or would it be the aux, it just seems to be lacking electricity so got to be one of them.

Mines made a squealing noise, started off infrequent the over time got worse, turned out to be power steering pump. Took it to a specialist as I was clueless and it was diagnosed straight away with bonnet up/ turning wheels. (I think, could be wrong) that since it was knackered the belt was slipping around the pulley.

Also mines was around 80-85k at the time, not sure if that makes any difference
